Throughout my life as an artist I have been driven by meaningful work, impact that matters, and beauty that makes a difference.
In 2005 I opened my flower business (Apotheca Flowers) and attained my goals of supporting my children through creative work that positively impacted our community. Eventually I began consistently surpassing $1,000,000 in revenue per year (something less than 2% of female-owned business achieve). Apotheca was voted best flower shop in 2019 by Florist Review magazine, and I felt so many dreams had come true for me.
A small voice began guiding me towards a new chapter. Life presented some big changes, and eventually I made the decision to simplify my world.
While we still do a limited number of weddings and flower orders, these days my larger mission involves mentorship.
My desire to help others on their creative journey has been front and center in my heart since 2019.
Creative entreprenurship can be a lonely path. Balanced, grounded business ownership didn't start for me until I hired a coach myself, (I still have one- we all should!) and nothing warms my heart like supporting a flower loving creative as she reaches for her next goal in business or life. Whether that goal is stepping back or leaning into leveling up! I've done both, all, and everything in-between and I'd love to support you.
I don't have all the answers, but after 20 years I've had many successes and failures and I've learned so much from both and continue to!
Our journey as creative entrepreneurs is a unique one- while we need systems and processes to run bonafide businesses, we also have to protect and nurture our inner artist. She is what gives meaning to the work we do for others and ourselves.
